U.S. 5-Digit Zip Codes

GreatData has 2 base products: Pro-Zipcode and Pro-Zipcode Deluxe. The base products contain the zip code, city, state abbreviation and county. You must purchase one of the zip code base products and can also choose one or more add-on products. The actual file you get will have both the base product and all add-on product data in the same record.

Pro-Zipcode is usually used in marketing and has one record per zip code with the primary city (as defined by the USPS) for that zip code. There are about 42,000 records in this file. The price is $100 per year.

Pro-Zipcode Deluxe is a unique product which we created—there is no other product like it! It can have multiple cities per zip code (when zip codes cross city limits) and is primarily used in Order Entry applications where you key in a zip code and your program will automatically fill in the correct city and state. It is also used in marketing where the correct city name is needed as well. There are over 57,000 clean (manually verified) records in this file. The price is $300 per year.

Our Deluxe base product has only one name per city. Competitors will claim to have over 70,000 records in some of their products, but what you don't know is that thousands of their recods are either duplicate city names, spelled a different way or just junk data. For instance, in 33331 the USPS will include 'SW RANCHES' and 'SOUTHWEST RANCHES,' plus it will have 'EVERGLADES BR' (which is not a city name). They have 8 records for that ZIP, but it only crosses over 3 cities. Once again, our product is clean because it's manually verified.

Can you afford to have less than GreatData?

GreatData has the following additional data elements that you can purchase along with either base product:

Area Codes: These are the primary area codes for the zip codes. Often, there may be more than one area code for a zip code and if you need to see all of them, you will need our Multiple Area Codes per Zip product. We update our data with the latest area codes each time we release a new version of the product! The price for this add-on is $100 per year.

Latitude/Longitude: This is used to calculate the distance between 2 zip codes in Dealer / Store Locator applications (such as in Bullseye).
Accurate coordinates are crucial to a good locator, so we manually verify this data against multiple sources to ensure accuracy. About 99% of our Pro-Zipcode latitude / longitude points are unique!!! Note: sometimes there are multiple zip codes in the same building, so the coordinates would be the same. The price for this add-on is $300 per year.

MSA Codes: These are Metropolitan Statistical Areas and are used by marketers to select all of the zip codes in a metropolitan area such as the greater Miami area, etc. Note: MSA data only covers areas with cities over 50,000 people. If you need smaller towns, look at our CBSA product. The price for this add-on is $75 per year.

Time Zones: If you need to do telemarketing, this will help you so you don't call a phone number at the wrong time. It also has a Daylight Savings Time flag. We believe that we have the most precise data available today, since we've done extensive research on these, especially when it comes to areas which are non-standard. The price for this add-on is $100 per year.

FIPS Codes: These are standard numbers assigned to the state, county and city/town belonging to that zip code. It is used to match up our data with other data products (rather than trying to match by a city/county name that can be spelled various ways). The price for this add-on is $75 per year
.

We've been refining our data for years! Long ago we learned that the USPS creates Zip Code data for themselves and not for commercial use. There are many innacuracies in the data. Since 1992, we have created filters and procedures to catch and override these errors. This is a process which is continually monitored and updated. Our data is clean, current and accurate!

Our latitude and longitude is the best you'll find! We have about 99% unique points in our Pro-Zipcode file. The last time we had checked, a main competitor only had about 50%. Only a few of our records have the same coordinates. They are usually for Post Office boxes with more than one ZIP Code served by the same post office.

Our center points are accurate (not miles off). For example, we've heard from a client who switch to us that the other data had over 450 ZIP Codes in the Los Angeles area with the same latitude and longitude!

One low-price competitor provided only a few sample records. We looked at one of their coordinates and it was off by over 650 miles! You truly would get what you pay for!

Even the U.S. Postal Service has purchased our data! FedEx and other transportation companies rely on our Zip Code data. We have sold to most of the Fortune 100, yet our products are reasonably priced.

We were the first company on the Internet selling Zip Code data! Now there are many imitators. One company, after only selling the data for a very short time, claimed to be the "Industry Leader". They actually bought one copy of our data and used it to create their own products! They could sell it for a fraction of the price we sell our data, since they didn't have to put in the many thousands of hours which we did. If you see a product that's very inexpensive, you can take a good guess at how much time they put into it.

100% money back guarantee—you can't go wrong!
