CBSA Markets

What are they? CBSA codes are the new 'MSA' codes defined by the U.S. government. 'CBSA' stands for 'Core-Based Statistical Areas.'
A great marketing tool! If you have been using MSA codes, you should plan on upgrading to the new CBSA codes because they now cover areas of 10,000 to 50,000 population which were not previously covered. This brings the coverage up to about 93% of the population, as opposed to 80% with the MSA codes.
In addition to more cities and towns being covered, there is additional granularity in some large metropolitan areas which have now been broken up into divisions.
A new, exclusive feature which only GreatData offers is the latest population statistics and CBSA rank based on that population. We update these figures annually!
